Finding your way around

The sidebar, the header's New, Help and account menus, the team switcher, the team home page and the full-screen workspaces.

Most pages share one layout: a sidebar on the left, a header across the top, and the page itself. Workspaces such as imposition and estimating take over the whole window instead, so you have room to work.

The sidebar follows the order work moves through a shop. The letters are the keyboard jumps: press g then the letter.

Section Item Jump What's there
Home g h The team home page (see below).
Work Files Your customer folders, artwork and file versions.
Work Approvals g a Artwork, proofs and customer decisions.
Work Preflight g p Preflight reports for your files.
Work Imposition g i Imposition jobs and their layouts.
Work Estimating g e Estimates, materials and the Takeoff workspace.
Work Box designer Carton and corrugated dielines with a 3D preview.
Production Equipment g m Your printers and cutting machines.
Production Schedule Jobs, machine queues and operator views.
Production Screening Plate separations and screening profiles.
Settings Team Members, invitations and team details.
Settings Subscription Plans and billing. Only team administrators see it, once billing is set up.

On a phone or a narrow window the sidebar folds away. Open it with the menu button at the left of the header, and close it with the close button or Esc.

From left to right:

  • The team switcher shows your current team. Open it to switch to another of your teams, open Team settings, see Pending invitations, or Add team.
  • New creates something: Upload artwork, New imposition job, New estimate or Run preflight. Press n to jump to it.
  • Help (the question mark) re-opens the Get started checklist, opens API docs (the interactive API reference, in a new tab) and lists Keyboard shortcuts.
  • The theme switch picks Light, Dark or System (follow your computer's setting).
  • Your account menu (your picture or initials) has Profile, Change password, Team settings, Subscription & billing (administrators, once billing is set up) and Sign out.

Every page starts with a hidden Skip to content link for keyboard users: press Tab once after the page loads to reveal it.

The team home page#

The first page you see after signing in shows what is happening in the current team:

  • Get started: the seven-step checklist from Your first job, step by step, until you hide it.
  • Workflow: counts of artwork Awaiting approval and artwork your customers have signed off, jobs Imposing and Ready to export, and Quotes sent. Each count opens the matching filtered list.
  • Needs attention: Changes requested by customers, Preflight failures (files whose latest report failed; a file checked again after a fix drops off) and Failed imposition runs. It only shows items that have a count.
  • Recent activity: uploads, proofs sent and customer decisions.
  • Quick actions and Help: shortcuts to common tasks, Invite your team, the checklist, the API docs and the keyboard shortcuts.

Workspaces#

Three screens are full-window workspaces with their own toolbar and side panels:

  • the imposition workspace, where you run and edit layouts for a job (Viewing and editing a layout);
  • Takeoff, where you trace parts and build a quote in Estimating (Takeoff: tracing parts);
  • the 1-up editor, where you prepare one artwork: dieline, bleed, separations, preflight and a 3D preview.

Workspaces have their own keyboard shortcuts, so the app-wide keys (g jumps and n) are off inside them. Press ? in any workspace to see its keys, or read Keyboard shortcuts.

Language#

The app's menus and labels are available in English and French. Pick yours under Language on your profile. These docs are in English.

Starting with an empty app#

When an app has no work yet, its welcome panel explains what the app does and the first action to take. Use Create your first job, Upload your first artwork, Choose a file, or the app's setup action to begin. Each welcome panel links to the relevant getting-started guide, opening documentation in a new tab so your work stays in place. Files also links to its folder and upload guide. Estimating offers quick quotes or measuring a drawing; Schedule walks administrators through machines, working hours, finishing, and the first jobs.

A search or filter with no matches shows a smaller message about changing or clearing filters. It does not replace your existing work with the first-run introduction.
