Food and beverage, household and personal care, and pharma cartons use the same Content list. You scan a PDF file version, keep or ignore each block, name a group, and send that copy with the proof for that version. The customer approves or rejects a block or a group.
Click a block to highlight it on the page and zoom to it. When both versions were scanned, each block is marked New on this version, Changed or Unchanged. The editor shows who edited the copy, who approved it and who sent it, with the time. The controls are on Artwork inspection. What this check does not do is on Artwork inspection.
Food and beverage#
Open the label PDF in the 1-up editor and press Scan this file. The structured copy is stored on that version.
Add the nutrition panel when it is a nutrition facts table or a typical-values table per 100 g. Add the ingredients, the allergen line and the net contents when the file has them. Ignore a slogan or any other line that is only a statement. Ignored wording does not come back when you scan this version again.
Select the kept blocks, type a name such as Panel copy and press Group. Press Send group for approval, then share the proof (Sharing proofs from the editor). On the proof, the Content tab lists what you sent for the version on screen. The customer presses Approve group or Reject group, or Approve or Reject on one block.
Household and personal care#
Press Scan this file on a cleaner or lotion label. Add a short claim line, and a legal line such as a distributor line or a country of origin, when the scan read them. Ignore a sentence that only mentions a claim. Type a name such as Claims and legal, press Group, then Send group for approval and share the proof. The customer can approve the group, or reject one block and leave the rest.
A kept block you no longer want can be Removed. It leaves the list, and a later scan does not bring that same wording back.
Pharma cartons#
Press Scan this file on the carton PDF. The copy is stored on that version, and Send group for approval puts it on the proof of that same file.
When the scan reads a Drug Facts panel, it is one panel: active ingredient, purpose, uses, warnings, directions, other information and inactive ingredients. The NDC is its own block. A Barcode is listed only when the symbol or the digits are a real GTIN.
Add the panel and the NDC. Ignore a line that is only a statement. Type a name such as Carton facts, press Group, then Send group for approval and share the proof. The customer approves or rejects the group.
This does not check the carton against a regulatory rulebook, and it does not certify the label. A carton whose words are only a picture often does not yield a Drug Facts panel. You can still type the panel, as below.
Copy the scan missed#
You can add copy the scan missed, or draw a box on the page and type it, and an empty category stays hidden.
Add content, or Draw a box on the viewer and then type the value, stores that copy on the version. Nutrition and Drug Facts use the same rows as a scanned panel. Ingredients, allergens, net contents, a barcode, claims, legal lines, statements and an NDC are one value each. Choose Other and type a name when none of those kinds fit. The category appears when you save the block. It is not listed while it is empty.
